We did not dyno this on the N18 engine , just the N14 S and the N14 JCW engine. As posted above.

Expect about the same for the N18 if not a hair more because of the refinement.

also a dry filter should be an option, I dont wanna damage the sensor which is mounted after the airfilter with the oil of the oiled filter.

Rob,

If oiled properly you should not have any issues, as for example like K&N , aFe, and BMC ( which is factory on the Gen 1 R50 /R52 Cooper (non s) JCW tuning kit ) we have been running ours for a while now with no issues.

Damn sweet looking piece. I'm pondering this just on it's good looks. But with the Canadian dollar exchange right now, it's very prohibitive. It's like almost a $1000 after exchange, shipping, brokerage, etc to get this to Toronto.

Hello,

my name is Fabian and I´m from Germany. Me and OK-Chiptuning have a JCW Project Car (N14) and are interested in buying this airbox. Unfortunately we tested a BMC Airbox and some exchange filters and measured a decrease in power on the dyno.

The car has a lot of mods done and just the intake is still stock.

Therefore we would like to test this airbox on your dyno. (before and after) In case we measure a increase of power on the dyno we would buy a few ones, but in case of a decrease what can we do?

We would send you all graphs and document it, I think a test by a third person would be great for all users. On top of that we would publish it in the social media in Germany.
