Unhappy Caught A Deer

Hey all,

This is my first post, but i figured I should share with you.

I hit a deer with my CM JCW this weekend. Everyone is fine, except for the deer, and I'm working on getting it fixed. Looks like it is going to take a few weeks.

Ouch! I am glad you are ok. looks like she came in over the bumper, you could be totaled and ordering a new one if she tripped the airbags.

The airbags didn't go off, thankfully. I think it can be repaired. The service advisor thinks it is just sheet metal damage.

Ouch! Is right, yeap, lucky the airbags didn't go off, good glancing side impact. Throw on a new hood and some trim and you are back in business. (Yes I know it is a little more than that, most importantly everyone is fine ... less the deer)

Motor on!

Wow, that is one of the more severe deer smacker results I have seen. Your MINI certainly earned its new badge:

lol, the badge is great!

Still waiting for the insurance adjuster to go look at it. I was told that it could take up to a week.

Just got back from talking with Insurance. Looks like the first estimate is $5,700. We'll see if they find anything else once they tear into it.

Still waiting for the car to get out of the body shop. So far the total is $7,000. I ended up getting too busy at work last week to call and see how things were going, and next week I'll be traveling for work.

Driving my truck is really starting to get old

I'll make an update when I get it back.

Just got the car back today. Everything seems to be working well. $7,000 in damage. Still need to get my clear bra put back on, and I noticed a couple of small issues that I'm going to take it back for. (Some screws missing in the moulding, and my recovery hook is missing). Haven't taken a picture of it yet, I was too busy enjoying having it back

Great news. Glad it worked out without much more. There's always something no biggie.

Before you go back make sure the alignment is true and normal although it appears more sheet metal than structure

Enjoy the ride.
