JCW Alta exhaust question?
Needs some trimming
Hi,
I just put on the GP 2 diffuser on my 2012 FJCW with the ALTA Catback. The ALTA exhaust doesn't hang low enough not to rub on the diffuser right at the end of the muffler. The tips fit in the opening fine. So I just cut out about 3 inches of the diffuser, but tapered back to the screw connections. I will try to take some pictures tomorrow.
Cheers,
Greg

Just an FYI, I have the same setup, only the install was the reverse order from yours.
I had the GP2 diffuser on first a couple of months ago, then had the Alta downpipe-back JCW exhaust installed a couple of weeks ago. The muffler does not make contact with my diffuser anywhere. I will say across the top of the muffler, it sits about 1/4" from the underside of the diffuser, but the hard plastic does not get warm at all during/immediately after driving.
wonderful system, isn't it? Nice, low tone, more volume than stock JCW, and those brushed aluminum 3.5" tips are simply awesome...
HIGHLY recommended....
