Alta cat-cat back opinions?

Hi guys I can pick up a Alta exhaust for a great deal. The guy had it on his car for a few days and his wife made him take it off because it was too loud. (in her opinion)
My question is will it bolt right up?
I was hearing different things about a 3in exhaust. Whats your opinion. And for the price I can't go wrong.
Almost forgot this was on a 08 Cooper S / My car is a 09 JCW.
Thanks
Phil

JCW Alta Exhaust

I have a 09 JCW and put on the ALTA cat back
The JCW has just one cat ( the downpipe) and a resonator. The S has a second cat that looks like a resonator but apparently is not. Not sure how ALTA can call their exhaust a cat back if the second cat is employed on the veh.???
ALTA has 2 different exhausts; one for JCW utilizing a resonator and one for the S using a second cat (I would check with ALTA on the latter part of my post to confirm)
It bolts right up although I had to bend the heat shield above the resonator.
The exhaust is quite a bit lower in tone and has some decent drone on the freeway.
Looks nice and if u want to make power the 3" is apparently necessary although I question some aspects since the turbo really is the limiting obstruction in the entire exhaust system. To me, adding the larger exhaust behind the turbo does not necessarily mean one will have better exhaust flow.

Alta Exhaust

It's on the car and I feel the power. My question is should I keep the original exhaust or sell it?

Alta exhaust

I found out from alta that on a S you can go either way.,,cat back or down pipe back. But a JCW can only go DP back.
