Questions about my r55 JCW

Hey all,
I've been searching thru the threads and googles all day, but can't get answers to some questions I have... some answers from teh community would be much appreciated, especially if they have sometype of reasoning ....

1. Intercooler dos and donts
I've been reading you don't need them if you're not on the track. I would like one, but I don't want to waste money if it really wont benefit me.

2. Dyno vs Renntech tune at Tyrol
Any reason a Dyno tune by Jan is better? I've read some horror stories about them.

3. Exhaust
Are there any gains from an exhaust such as the NM one? I have the JCW exhaust on now, and it sounds fine. but, would I gain anything from a different one or is it something that wont help me.

4. Blow off valve vs Diverter Valve (wmw diverter vs Helix blow off or Forge specifically)
Any suggestions?

5. Randoms
Any mods I should do before I go spending money on these other ones? I'm pretty handy and can do them all myself, but just wondering on these things.

Sounds like you're mostly interested in engine mods so your biggest power gains will come from an intake/intercooler/downpipe/tune. Obviously the best thing is a custom built tune done on a dyno however off the shelf options work pretty well. Keep in mind that even the JCW motors have popped at high power levels so you'll have to decide whether the risk is acceptable to you or not.

The catback exhaust doesn't really make a difference in regards to power. Do whatever you like the sound of.

Oh and skip the blow-off valve

I am looking at dp and intercooler. I'm not looking for 300whp or anything. The jcw is already pretty damn quick, just a little more oomph... I think a tune alone would do, but it's not as reversible

Just to a tune, drop in filter, and 22mm sway bar.

It is plenty fast that way!
