I have conflicting information on any changes to the 2014 model year Countryman JCW. According to one Mini dealer there will be no changes to the 2014 Countryman JCW except for a $100 more in MSRP. From a second dealer, they mentioned that they are eliminating the bucket rear seats option (no big deal) and removing the center rail and as a result changing the handle to the parking brake configuration. A third dealer told me that 2014's cannot be ordered yet since dealer allocations have not been completed and any dealer saying they can order 2014 is not true. The first dealer said I can order a 2014 now. I am getting close to ordering a 2014 but I am trying to figure out options. Does anyone know what is changing?

(The 2013 model changes of moving the center window switch to the door panel and adding the model name to the boot seem uneventful.)

 

The bucket seat is no longer an option at all on the Countryman in 2014. The rail for the rear seats has been deleted but I believe the rail remains in the front. I haven't seen any mention of changes to the parking brake handle. MSRP is increasing slightly. I suppose you can place an order whenever a dealer is willing to accept it but I don't have the inside track on allocations. Someone else might chime in with better info on that.

Oh, absolutely, several folks have ordered 2014's...as of July 1, all CM orders are 2014's.

Motoringfile has published the changes for 2014 and I understand they are very reliable. A couple you mentioned:

$100 increase in MSRP but they made something that was an option standard...i think it was auto-dimming mirrors which makes the price increase null.

Rear buckets are indeed gone.

Rear center rail is indeed gone, replaced by cup holders if I remember correctly
