After surfing through Johncooper.co.uk, I noticed they carry 2 lines of products marketed for the new MINIs. One is John Cooper Works (JCW) and the other is John Cooper Motorsport (JCM). From what I gathered, JCW is the official WORKS endorsed by BMW/MINI and covered under warranty, whereas JCM are designed more specifically for race track and has no association with BMW/MINI. Is that a correct assumption?

I'm really excited about all the upcoming performance parts.

I too think JCM is great. I want the rest of the JCW kit and I want it yesterday.

John Cooper Motorsport (JCM) stuff is for racing only, and is not covered by the MINI New Passenger Car Limited Warranty.

Most people refer to all the products from John Cooper as JCW. To avoid confusions in the future, perhaps it's more appropriate to differentiate JCM from JCW. Just a suggestion!

The difference is quite clear. The JCW kit would be complete with the missing parts from the JCM 225 kit. The warranty is important, no doubt, but with blessings from the corporate corner offices we could have the upgrades with warranty sooner than we expect. I still want it yesterday.

I would also strongly suspect that any and all JCM engine mods are for OFF Road use only and would make your cstreet ar highly illegal from an EPA or CARB point of view......
