How can I tell a OPEN dif from a factory LSD?

How can I tell a OPEN dif from a factory LSD?
I got a differential from a guy who claimed it was a LSD. After giving it a closer look I think it is a stock open differential. Does anyone have any pics of a LSD that I can compare it to or know what numbers would be stamped on the dif to indicate if it is a open unit or a factory LSD unit? Any help is greatly appreciated!
