The pistons, have never come from France, they are Mahle pistons, made in and supplied from Germany.

 

That's fine and works for me but my Service Manager and techs claim the pistons have been resourced from the MAHLE Pistons France SARL plant in Ingersheim, FR to the plant in Germany.

 

Sorry I thought you were asking, if the pistons were produced in France by a different manufacturer, other than Mahle, your service manager and techs are quite correct, the pistons do indeed start their life in France, at the Mahle plant in Ingersheim.

 

Okay,but why would they say theses new ones are not coming from the France plant but are exclusively Germany? Hey not being rude but have to head to bed thanks for the info

 

The Mahle piston division in Europe, has undergone a financial review restructure.
