I have a 2005 JCW with the original ecu program installed at the dealer. Does anyone know if thier have been upgrades to the program that was put into the car. I got my car in July 2005 from Mini of Murry.

 

Think you refer to "updates".

When your MINI is serviced at the dealer that is one thing they can check for.

 

From Ennis Mt. to salt lake city is about 300 miles each way. I try to do all my own work if possiblel That is one reason I havn't been back to SLC since i bought the car. Does anyone know if upgrades have occured.

 

Over the years numerous updates have occured....usually for mantance, relibility, or driveability reasons....
If you have a software verson, no yoyo that works, stick with ...
Different versions did have different maps...
You would only get an upgrade if you went from the jcw to the jcw210 with the injector and cai...but the upgrade came with the kit.

 

Thanks for the info saves me a 600 mile trip and a lot of expense.
