Tried posting earlier today, but it never appeared on the board...sorry if it winds up posting and this thread becomes redundant.

About to order a 2012 JCW (with the standard aero kit!) and am trying to decide between Midnight Black / Chili Red and White Silver / White. The problem is that I've yet to come across a WS / W on a car with the JCW aero kit and am wary of placing the order without having ever seen a real life image.

Can anyone help me out?

 

I've seen a few Camden edition MCS with the white silver and I thought it looked pretty good. WS/W was one of my colour choices for a while for my JCW until I decided I wanted something darker.

What concerns do you have about the JCW aero kit on the WS? It should look pretty good IMO.

I thought I saw a pic of WS with a JCW body kit, and painted black fenders on the forum somewhere... Maybe in the "post your JCW pic" thread?

 

Wouldn't WS/WS look a little better than WS/(plain)W?

I'm not a fan of the red roofs and it seems like 99% of people ordering 2011/2012 JCWs have gotten a red roof... I'd do something different!

 

I haven't seen ANY chili red MINIs in person ever so far. So the way I see it my EG/CR car will look different. hehe.

I like the WS/White or WS/Black combos on the MINI configurator. It's a little frustrating in a way that some of these colour combos are not common and hard to see in person before ordering.

 

Turns out you can't do WS/WS. I just checked the configurator. Weird...

EG/CR is probably the best combo if you're going with a red roof. I've seen PW/CR, EG/CR, and Black/CR in person and EG/CR is the only one that looks decent.

Of course it's just my opinion, I hope you like it when it gets here!

If not, it's just a simpler, semi-cheap vinyl wrap away from being whatever you want!

Has no one ordered a JCW with aero kit in WS / W? Hmmm...I could be the first, but it's taking a pretty big chance...

This is a tangent, and I've read contradicting posts on different forums, but I noticed that the JCW Coupe in all the ads has the aero kit with a *chrome* grill surround. Does anyone know for sure if The 2012s are coming with the chrome instead of the black?

I love the black, btw. Not sure why they would suddenly make this change...

 

Mixed info around on the grill. It's supposed to be black on 2012 factory JCWs... At least for Canada. My preference is black also - goes well with the black headlight reflectors.

 

Yeah. The coupe demo cars that have been making the rounds at dealerships are pre production models, but they have chrome grill surround...but who knows. I just think that JCWs have always have black grills and black surrounds, so why change it now?
