Where to hook up boost gauge
Same thing for me on a r56, I searched for weeks and never found. Even the car seller was not sure were it is. I will receive my boost gauge shortly, and I will psot pics of the instalation... if everything goes well !
My first guest would be the line that connects to the plastic valve on the cold side of the turbo (the black one, not the metallic one). The car seller told me it is the one connected to the metallic valve, but someone wrote on a forum that you only have the vacuum pressure on this one, not the positive.......
This is all I can do to help for now !

No pic's but,
R-53:
Remove the I/C , there is a mounting tab with a vacuum cylinder / diaphram that runs under your fuel rail with a vacuum line coming off the bottom, "T" into it.
F.Y.I. it gets pretty hot under there, I had 2 of the rubber couplers (the rubber piece that connects the plastic T to the plastic vacuum line for the gauge) dry out, crack and leak. I would suggest you run a regular rubber vacuum line from the T off the diaphram out under the I/C and then couple your plastic line somewhere where it is cooler or at least easier to get to, for some reason the rubber couplers seem to be of a lesser quality and don't handle the heat as well as regular vacuum line.
