JCW Aero Kit owners...what did you pay?

I am trying to get a sense for what folks have paid. My dealer is expensive and the port option is not much less. Can we collect some data here to see what folks have been paying to have these installed (painted, etc)? Thanks in advance!

my 2011 JCW areo kit ran me 3500$

this included the kit pre-painted, the 2011 conversion kit, plus body shop install.

all in all, i feel it was a fair price. while maybe a bit expensive for some peoples taste i am totally pleased with the end result.

will try to post pics this weekend.

Purchased 1 year ago from Prestige MINI. They painted and installed it. Paid $3500. BUT I also got the JCW CF rear diffuser as part of the $3500. That part alone is about $600.

Its very hard to photograph. That part on the bottom of the aero kit that appears black in this picture is actually the CF diffuser and it looks awesome in person.

Paid around $1600 for a pre-painted one from Morristown, had it installed at a performance shop for $200.

Also got the OEM roof rack with the order, which I needed to put on the car first so I could strap the Aero kit boxes onto in order to get it to the shop for installation.

Do you mean "primed" or "painted"? I spoke to them yesterday and they said $1,650 primed (plus extra for the 2011 kit) and about $800 to paint. Lemme know?

I bought a prepainted kit from local dealer for $1600. It was one of the last gen 1 kits. I had it installed for about 150 but can't recall the exact price

it might help to know how many pieces , and what exactly was painted and or replaced( grill surround, upper & lower front grills, rear grill, front and rear fogs ,wiring, switches, wheel arches, side skirts, etc). Also what version, factory Aero or JCW Aero

Painted, dark silver. Although if I recall, when I ordered it (about a year ago now) the guy mentioned on the phone they were almost out of stock on the pre-painted ones and I think he said something to the effect that they were not going to stock them that way anymore ... so they might not be available pre-painted any longer.

Dealer quoted me around $3700 installed and painted ... I paid less than half of that.

R56 JCW Aerodynamic Package

R56 LCI JCW Aerodynamic Package II (08/2010 builds and newer)

As of March 2011 production, the "JCW Kit" will become optional as part of the factory build, and should ultimately cost significantly less than the dealer retrofit.

I do not understand the point of these questions. The OP asked for feedback on what people paid for the JCW aero kit.

Clearly its a kit and the parts that need to be painted are the same for everyone. Front and rear bumper and the side shirts. If you wanted to, you could have had the grill surround or other parts painted too as an added expense. Some have had the wheel arches and the front chin painted too.

Good news that the JCW aero kit will be a factory option. It should have been included on JCWs all along. Same thing for the JCW suspension.

I do not have the skill or time to do it myself. And the cost is the cost. It needs to be painted if it does not come that way already and it needs to be installed.

I paid $2100 for mine. Fortunately when I ordered my car they forgot to put labor for my port install in the price ($800). I made them eat that.

I called the dealership couple weeks ago and they told me 3100 painted and installed, they also told me the kit didnt come prepainted in laser blue so they would have to paint it.
One more thing i got an email from MINI a week ago in which they were offering 39% off on parts and service, but you have to buy the part and have it install there
I got my kit for 600, but it was a left over they were about to throw away, also it was red so i had it repainted

So I emailed a salesperson that I read that the JCW aero kit will become a factory option in March and asked her to confirm that and if she knew the pricing. I got a response back saying she checked their March production slots, and it doenst' show any factory option for the JCW aero kit on any of their March slots.

So I guess it might just mean that their system isnt' even updated to include that yet...but who knows.

Anyone hear anything more solid about whether it really will be a factory option and/or the pricing?

Oh, I definetely want it. But I have a budget I have to stay within, and the only reason I'm looking at it now is cause it might be a factory option so it cuts another ~$1k.

So hopefully it really is a factory option in March cause I'm probably looking to order something in a couple weeks...and I'd cry if it wasnt' there and I place the order, only for it to become a factory option a few weeks afterwards.

I still haven't found out anything about the factory option JCW aero kit yet. But I did hear back from my sales person saying taht in the April allocations, that new JCW package mentioned in Motoringfile for the MCS will include:
JCW Aero Kit
17” Challenge Spoke Wheels
Dynamic Traction Control
JCW Door Sills
JCW Shift **** (manual only)
JCW E-brake handle (manual only)

and will be $2000. So I imagine that the aero kit itself will be dropping alot from that $2100 that they have on teh configurator. But I really hope it isnt' coming only in April cause I dont' want to miss out on the special financing rates that go till teh end of March. And waiting yet another month to order would be so hard.

Classic. Keep it secret. Change financing rates (but keep that secret too). I just forked over $3.1k to have the jcw aero kit port installed. Not happy about price but it is what it is.

FYI as far as financing specials go, those deals usually only apply at the time you take delivery. In other words, the special that is running at the time you place your order is irrelevant. You really won't have much of an idea about financing specials until your MINI is about to be delivered.

It depends cause I already talked to the salesperson about that. And was told that they can add that into terms of the purchase so I wuold get the financing even if I took delivery after the special rates end.

That's good information...what dealership? My guys are acting like they have no control over financing situation..."BMW controls that", sorta thing.
