JCW Power Loss
Power Loss
Hello,
I apologize in advance if there is a current thread on this topic already, however after searching I did not find anything that sounded like my issue.
I have an '09 factory JCW with about 24K on it. I've recently noticed that when I'm winding out the gears from 2nd, 3rd, and 4th - and especially while driving up a hill or slope - I'll lose power for about a second's time. I'll be winding out the prior gear, then shift to the next gear, then there will be a lag, almost as if my car has shut off for a second, and then it kicks back in. I've also noticed that when it does this there is also a corresponding metal rattling sound from the front of the car as the power kicks back in.
None of my check engine lights or warnings come on or even temporarily illuminate.
Does this sound like anything to anyone? Has anyone else experienced this and brought it to the dealer for diagnosis? Any thoughts, tips, help, and direction that you can share is greatly appreciated.
