JCW performance

My wife has an 03 S with JCW kit. I have an 08 S. My car is significantly faster in acceleration than hers. Is this normal or is something wrong with her car?

Thanks.

Your car has much more torque than the 03, and better gearing. Of course, the 03 could be in need of new plugs and air filter. Those items can make the 03 feel more sluggish, especially if they are over 1 year old.

So do you and your better half drag race?

If so I wonder what the stakes would be. I'd not have the courage myself...

What he says ^

Plus a 2003 car is likely to be a 200bhp JCW car so the power isnt that much more than the R56 S while the torque is somewhat lower too...

What sort of tests are you doing to make the comparison ? If she catches you off boost and in the wrong she may still get you as the top end in a standard R56 is pretty poor from the ones Ive driven...
