Jcw Aero Kit paint wearing off

I posted the below link in the General MINI section because I just didn't know where to put it.

I wanted every JCW aero kit owner to know of some paint wear issues that I have come across and a potential fix for it.

I've got over 26K miles on my JCW with port installed body kit, and no chipping in the area you mention, in fact none on the sides at all.

Some of this may be due to the size and width of wheels you have on your car. I have 17x7 with a 42 offset. The wheels and tires do extend past the lower rear of the fender which would aid in the debrit coming down the side of the skirts.

Just some thoughts!

Thanks. I have the problem but it may be too late to do much about it. I know others have had it, too. At track days I have seen MINIs with tape over the aero side skirts.
