I just wanted to let everyone who has a JCW Aero Kit know of an issue you may want to take a look at.

The below picture shows where ROAD DEBRIT beats on the side skirts and will basically sand off the paint.

The affected problem is right behind (or to the left in the picture) (the curved area) the 3 black "Wings". If you run your fingers on the painted area, I'm sure you will find it to be rough. I have seen 3 other cars with the same problem. I have 10,000 miles on mine and it is beginning to show wear.




There is a solution!!

I bought 3M Clear Bra, custom cut for the JCW Aero kit side skirts from http://www.invisiblemask.com/

Below is the piece I ordered. I just had to order it in a longer length for my Clubman. 64"



I ordered several other pieces and have only installed the rear bumper protection strip. #1 it has been TOO hot to even work in the garage and #2 just been super busy to get to the sides.

the rear bumper top protection peice was a snap to put on .

If you order $75 or more from them, you get 2 sprayers, an instructional DVD (it's helpful), syringe, razor knife, microfiber towel and squeegee. it's a heck of a deal and VERY fast delivery.

So, everyone with a JCW Aero Kit, please take a look at yours and see if you need some protection.

Though I have no scuffing on my bodywork, I have often wondered if it would receive road debris damage as the sideskirt pseudo-duct protrudes out so from the side of the car.

It's nice to know that this product (pre-cut for JCW skirt) is out there in the marketplace!
