Help! Need JCW airbox torx screw

Well, after 50K miles, I finally decided to replace my stock JCW filter with an ITG one. All went well, thanks to posts by Halifax on this forum, and Nebdingo on mini2.com...and while I had it out, I "de-flapped" the airbox.

After I finally got it wiggled into place, and got the clamp connected, etc. I went to put in the two Torx screws....and , one of them , fell down into the depths of the car. Try as I might, I could not locate it, nor could I get it to fall out by moving it and hitting the brakes, etc. of course, it will probably fall out on the highway somewhere.

Any ideas on where I can get one of these? I have the other installed, and it seems to be holding everything together OK, but I want the other one in, too.

Thanks!

If you are referring to the two screws in the front of the box that secures it to the lower section, I would just remove the one you have and take it into any hardware store and find a replacement.

I have one like that as well.

It is part 6 in that diagram. The part number is 13721488796. Any MINI dealer get it for you.

By the way, I really hate how all the individual parts for anything JCW related are so ridiculously expensive.

I have replaced both of mine with Philips head screws.

I finally took one of the other airbox screws down to my local ACE hardware store (the kind that's like one of the old-time hardware stores, with everything you could ever imagine stocked on the shelves, and then some!)
Picked up a close-enough screw and it worked perfectly!
