? about jcw air box wires for flapper valve

ok ive got a jcw air box on my cooper s and want to replace it with a k&n typhoon cold air intake(already purchesed) i see the wires for the flapper valve...theres a yellow wire going to the ecu and theres a ground and a power wire.... the wires are not used on the k&n so what do i do with them?
should i just leave them un pluged and run the new system..or cut them??or what?

When I removed the flap from my JCW airbox, I just left the wires disconnected and hanging. No problem after about 45,000 miles.
