JCW Jacking points
Jacking points
Hello to everyone,
I've just become a member and have a question. I have a 2009 JCW and want to buy a hydraulic jack that will work. As with the internet I'm getting all kinds of answers as to what will work and what jacking points ,or not, to use. The car has the areo skirts on the bottom. One person suggest spanning the jacking points with a 40 inch 2x4 and placing the jack in the center, this makes sense to me. So I need someone who has actually used a hydraulic jack on a JCW to change wheels, and what was their expereince.
Thank You

i just changed the oil on my 2009 jcw/ w/ aero package.....used the front factory jack point, car is so stiff front and rear wheels came off the ground, put the jackstand under the frame just behind the front wheel........no drama at all
ya i use the jack points from the factory and jack it up put the jackstand under neath the subframe, or i use a 2x4 and jack it up inbetween the jack points and i put the jack stand underneath the factory jack points.
Has anybody used one of these with their jacks?
