Transmission

Hello all,

excuse my english, i hope you'll understand...

I have a JCW 2006, it have 11000km and i ear a good "clack" between the first and the second gear. I'm pretty sure this is not normal. I went to a Mini dealer and they said everything is normal, the guy mentioned to me that another garage had a similar problem with another works and they had to change the transmission and then he said, they were pissed off... So, it sounds to me that they just don't want to work on this... I feel they kind of screwed me... I guess i'll have to go to another Mini dealer to be sure...?

Other thing, it was my first time at a mini/bmw dealer, i saw that they wash the car and do some vacuum cleaner on other cars... are they supposed to do all this to every car?

My 2003 MCS made a noise and my 2006 MCS makes a noise when shifting between 1st and 2nd. On my 2003 MCS I asked the dealer to check and they said it was normal. Maybe so since my 2006 makes the same noise.

My 2006 GP makes NO noise between shifts from 1st to 2nd. I would get another dealer to check it out for you. As far as the car wash and vacuum of the interior each dealer is different some do some don't.
