JCW JCW suspension install instructions for an R56
JCW suspension install instructions for an R56
I have been looking for some comprehensive installation instructions or a detailed recap of a member heres experience on doing a self install of the JCW suspension. The part that I would like more info for is the part that I heard was the hardest, the front sway bar.
I'm looking for something more detaled than this 7 page pdf that I found on Motoring File.

I have been trying to build my car up as much as possible, even though money's tight, by doing all the work myself. So far I did the JCW aero kit install, and painted the calipers. Now I'd like to do the suspension (Thank you Morristown MINI for the lower price, and my Dealer for matching it) the same way. But those instructions that I linked above are pretty much a parts breakdown, and that is all.
Does anybody have something more substantial?

If you have a lift, the FSB isn't too bad but you do have to drop the subframe and disconnect several things to work in/out the swaybars. If not, its going to be difficult, I have only done mine on a lift, once you figure out what needs to be disconnected, its not a bad job at all with all the right tools and a little experience.
Actually though, your Mini might handle better with the stock front swaybar(less wheelspin coming out of corners with softer front swaybar).

I do have access to a lift, at the base hobby shop, and normal tools. You mentioned the "right tools". Is there something in particular that I should be sure to have? How long did it take you? (Just curious, as I know it will take me a lot longer)
Thanks
