Motorweek has a pretty nice introduction on the 2009 JCW Mini Cooper. The show is on speed channel and starts off with a test of the new ZR-1 Corvette.

The speed channel usually reruns those shows at least once. Check the Speed TV listings to see if you can catch it again. It wasn't an in depth test just a fluff piece. The mentioned they Racaro seats as being an option, but I think that was an error.

My wife and I just watched it this morning on our DVR.... it was recorded off of one of the PBS channels in standard definition. Regardless, the review was glowing and as much as I love my '05 Supercharged MINI Cooper, I am VERY tempted to trade in on the new JCW... we'll see.

The PBS airing of MotorWeek was on today at 3:30 EST (I have Directv). They pretty much raved about it . The car tested was a JCW hardtop w/base suspension, red/black with black bonnet stripes and the red/black cloth and leather combo. Looked pretty sharp .

They ran the 0-60 in 6.5 sec and thru the 1/4 miles in 14.xx at 99mph, I believe. I thought the figures would be a little better. Maybe they had a 'green' (not fully broken in) example.

They probably get press cars for testing just like the car mags get.But pretty much sums it up.
I watched it yesterday at 3:30pm on PBS.Then again I've been watching MotorWeek every Saturday afternoon (when on) since it first aired 28 years ago.
