Mike S is that a JCW badge on the side of your MINI?

yep, I thought the sides looked a bit empty so I bought 2 more badges (like the one on the hatch because it has a nicer finish, the front one is cheap plastic) was around $130 per badge at BMW here.

Cheap plastic??
The one I have is made of metal and it's actually nicer looking than the one on the back of the MINI.
Is the plastic one from MINI or an aftermarket badge?

I don't know if it really is plastic, but it's the one BMW installed when I put the JCW kit on.

I prefer the dimensions of the badge on the rear hatch more to the one in front which would be a bit big to place on the sides IMO.

Supposedly forces air away from under the car, creating a bit of a low pressure areas under it. I suspect most do it for looks. Only seen three on the pics in here.

Here's a quick list of a few good references and discussions about automotive aerodynamics that I put together on AZ Europeans.
