Can Stage 5 JCW Accessories be Residualized in a Lease?

Dealer says no, but I wonder if this is just a ploy to lower the residual and raise my payment.

I've never heard of a factory accessory not being residualized on a factory lease.

Do you mean the factory JCW Kit?

Would they residualize any other dealer installed options?

I believe the only JCW part that has a little residual value is the Engine KIT.

I'm referring to carbon fiber trim, etc...

If it's a factory part I have a hard time understanding why it doesn't qualify.

No, you can't residualize those accessories. The only accessories that are residualizable (is that a word?!) are things like the full JCW engine kit, driving lamps, Sirius....

Note that "accessories" are not "factory parts", and vice versa. The difference is where they are installed. The carbon fiber trim you mention cannot be installed at the factory -- it can only be done at the dealership once the car arrives there.

With all that said, there is no "ploy". No conspiracy theory necessary... The dealer doesn't get any benefit from not residualizing potentially-residualizable accessories. They don't make any money on residuals, anyway. That number is set in stone with the bank -- they can't mark it up, they don't make money on it, etc. The only thing not residualizing stuff does is raise your payment, and the dealership does not benefit from you simply having a higher payment.
