JCW Stage 1 Owners - Does the SPORT button still give you a kick?

I am considering the plunge, but have a question regarding the ECU update and the Sport Button.

Most of us with a MCS wish we could program the Sport button to remain on. Do those of you with JCW Stage 1 upgrades, still get a "boost" in acceleration by enabling the sport button, or has the ECU upgrade just enabled it all the time.

There is still a difference in throttle response and steering weight with the sport button activated, but the difference seems smaller. I don't use the sport button at all now as it robs the steering of feel. I still wish the throttle had a bit more 'feel' to it in the initial inch of travel.

Yes. Quicker throttle responce and heavier steering.

The difference is less dramatic, though as the JCW kit feels like a stock S with the sport button "on".

I agree with the others, not as dramatic but you can still feel it. I still push it all the time

I think your misunderstanding what we're saying here.

As the OP asked, we're referring only to the responciveness of the throttle, the steering feel and the effect the sport button has on the two post JCW install. No one's talking about the overall performance change. As discussed elsewhere, there is a lot more torque and power coming from the JCW kitted cars... so I feel I got my moneys worth for sure.
