Ok so I am still a total tool. So looking online and calling the local dealer it comes with either a black or white base right? Is the base available in a primer? Otherwise I might just order the black. My roof is silver and I don't want it to look stoopid!

Thanks again!

You can order the base in primer and let it painted in roof colour but the price is the same as a painted one (here in EU).

Hi Adam...The spoiler comes with the base painted in either black or white, I just check if there is any in the US and there is none but a few black base on order. I order the black one even that my roof is white, I think the black blends better with my tinted windows and also the glass rear.

IF I had a silver roof I would have no problem getting a black one. A prime one is the same price list at $640.25 but you have at least another $200 to color match. Its not a flat piece, they will have to mask around the 2 supports and be very careful not to pain the CF...IMO way to much work and money.

Did you get your wheel yet? I had PM you but didn't get a response. let me know.

Gio.

jcw spoiler wind noise - after reaching 70 miles / per hour

Greetings all,
I am gettiing wind noise -above 70 miles / hour -from JCW spoiler from my M/Yellow S. It is dealer installed. However the technician convinced me that it is suppose to get the wind noise. What is your take ? Any ideas why I am getting this noise. Can this be fixed?

Thanks!

I do not get any noise from the spoiler and I had it over 100mph a few times. maybe you need to drop it!!! hahaha

I did get noise from my moonroof , but there is a dealer fix for this problem, has to do with the aligment of the panels.

It's nice to see the JCW has become easier to install. I have the older version and it can be a pain to install because of the adhesive. The best part about the new version is that you no longer spend several hundred dollars and get two plastic plugs to fill the leftover holes. That drove me crazy so I finally got around to having them filled. Now it's nice and smooth on the boot like the new one is.

Yep much easier now, and different design.
