my uncle and i managed to get one checkered door handle on today before it got too dark in 1.5 hrs. thanks again glen for the how-to. will post pics of the final product!

That... and when my miniature ratchet arrives in a few days. I have to work this Saturday and the 25th. Looks like Aug 18th is THE DAY.

You can do it .. took less than 3 hours for both sides, but of course my uncle who is a mechanic did it, and not me.

It was basically a bunch of unscrewing and screwing in tight places. God, that sounded wrong!

Not hard to do the door handles. Just tricky. First one took me 3+ hours including a trip to Autozone. Second one took me 30 minutes. Hint, get a T30 socket and a small socket wrench.
