Stubby Antenna/Shark Fin

Does anybody know if you can get about the same radio reception w/ the shark fin antenna as the stock antenna? and also how is the reception w/ the stubby antenna? thanx in advance

i think the modern day antenna's are all the same

I used A small bolt to fill the hole in the Shark fin and i get reception just fine.

My reception has been pefect with the Helix "stubby", but I did ask about the BMW shark fin while I was at the dealership, the BMW SA hasn't gotten back with me yet
