Checkmate Graphics

So...
We went and ordered the silver side checkers for Gromit seeing he has the silver roof and bonnet stripes. Has anyone else done this on their non-Checkmate MINIs? Mind you, we did not order the smaller upper sticker that says "Checkmate" as I nor my wife want to be "that" guy (ie the sticker without the package as so many Honda rice boys 'upgrade' their Civics to Type Rs even though they were never sold here).
I'll be posting a couple pics of course after it's done. Having MINI of Mountain View doing it. I'm even their first customer to be using the MINI card rewards at their dealership! I feel so special

Checkmate

I did it and like the side panel checks a lot . I'm trying to attach some pics. I didn't do the small 'checkmate" decals either. Let me know what you think

Looks pretty smooth...I was afraid the decals didn't go all the way to the bonnet...now I really can't wait to get them put on, if only Gromit was my car and not my wife's

I like it! And I think yours is the first car that I've seen where I really like the polished/black finished JCW wheels, rather than the all black. Looks great!

I've seen a vinyl installer do the checkmate treatment with vinyl tape. It was very nice. You could do the checkmate with any color vinyl tape. All it takes is patience and a lot of careful measuring.

checkmate graphics

I put the checkmate graphics on mine (02' MCS) and i love them. Gets a lot of comments and looks on the road. I actually got mine off of a seller on ebay and applied them myself. It took about an hour and a half, but they turned out really good. Go for it, it makes your mini stand out...

here are a few pics of mine, the bonnet stripes are magnetic and thus removable, when I ordered them I thought they would match the checkers on the side, but are actually white, they don't stand out too much tho
