Remove trim piece under steering wheel

I am trying to find out how to remove the trim piece under the steering wheel so I can get at the down tube screws on the driver side. I need to remove the upper screw which will allow removal of down tubes exposing the stereo. I am in the process of installing a Dice interface for my iPod.

Does anyone ot there know how to do this?

The bottom piece under the steering wheel is hinged at the bottom. Simply pry it with a butter knife or something similar at the top outer and inner areas, and it will swing down, out of the way. If you need to remove it totally, it will seperate at the hinges as well...

I'm wondering the same thing, not wanting to remove the airbag though.

There's no airbag down there. The procedures described here have nothing to do with an airbag.
