can't stand the navigation system anymore.
anybody covert the navi back to speedometer???

I think it would be very complex to do this as the wiring harness is probably different. Also, the speedometer or instrument cluster, as it is called, is the primary interface and connectivity point between the K-bus, CAN bus and the two diagnostic buses that carry most of the car's data feeds.

 

im in conneticut want to drive down and well tear the car apart and swap my speedo for your nav hehhehe

the car was built with plug and play in mind so if you have to change the harnesses it should alll work out, it just matters what you consider difficult

There are definitely people who want to switch from speedo to Nav, but there's quite a bit of wiring harness work.
What's your configuration? Maybe someone would want to swap...

 

Maybe just leave the screen in the dash and use it to play DVDs and Playstation/Xbox? Some here have done it (sadly there's not enough room in the car to flail a Wii controller around without injury).

A rearview camera would be possible too with a setup like that.
