I was thinking of getting my windows tinted, but I am wondering if this will affect the operation of my Valentine one?

 

Mine works fine with 20% tints. I have it mounted right above the rear view mirror.

 

If the V1 is mounted behind tinting with a metalic content the range of the V1 will be adversly affected. Metalic tint on the side and rear windows also has an adverse effect.

If the unit is mounted behind tinting (metalic or not) the laser detecting capabilities will be reduced.
