Deminstionally, are they the same. For instance, if I wanted to move the reverse light to the taillights on my 02 could I just purchase an 05 taillight set?

Yes. I have the 02-04 lights in my 06. Including the reverse light in the bumper.

 

So you went the other way that I want to go.

May I ask why? Just looks, or is there an actual lighting advantage?

 

Looks only. I doubt if there is an advantage. Though with the way you want to go you can add the rear fog light where the reverse light was.

 

Or a trailer hitch.

Another quick question, do the Ebay lights on there have the reverse light in them, or should that be 02-04, not 02-05? If not, where can I get an aftermarket option for the 05 lights? Tinted, redded, clear, or otherwise?
