which colour wire feeds power to the side light in the rear light cluster?

Im wiring up some side markers on my car and as im from the UK it doesnt have the factory wires for this,so im taking a feed from the side lights on the front and back. The front is straight forward but im not sure which colour wire on the plug that connects to the rear light feeds the side light. Does someone know the right colour so i can take a spur from it,to feed my side markers.

why don't you just take out the tail light and see which wire the
parking bulb is connected to?

Because and forgive me if im missing some thing ,but i did take the rear light pod out ,and the block connector that feeds power to the 3 bulbs is in the middle of the back of the light unit and so there is not one connector for each bulb otherwise i wouldnt need to ask if there was ,as it would be easy to figure out.but all there is ,is a single block with about 6 wires going into it.So if i could find which was the side light feed it would save alot of hassel.

This doesn't directly answer your question, but the following kit seems to be exactly what you need to make your connections:
http://www.newministuff.com/new/shop...uctshow&id=384

GP Mini - light up your reflectors kit

On UK spec Mini GP's the wheel arches have the USA style lights fitted - the bulbs are even fitted but they don't light up. This kit contains the correct plugs with pins & waterproof connectors to plug into your arch lights & wire which you can then splice into your front & rear sidelights. Instructions are supplied.

Pricing £10.00 (£11.75 inc. VAT)

if that doens't work, pull out your volt meter and measure which one's
getting the power. pin per pin on the harness.
