While my 03 Cooper was in for some recent service the dealer loaned me an
06 MCS for a few days. Of course I loved the difference in the gopower but also liked a few of the interior details like the larger rearview mirror, the padding on the armrest seemed higher and more conducive to my elbow and there was a grab handle above the passengers seat. Wondered if any of these could be easily retrofitted to my 03 - and yes my next one will be an S model!

 

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't those options come on all '06 models, not just the MCS? I have an '06 MC, and it has a large mirror and grab handles. I didn't order an armrest though.
I don't see why they couldn't be installed in an '03.

 

They may come on both the Cooper and the S. I just wondered if they would fit an 03.

 

I'm not 100% sure about the armrest, but the mirror and handels shouldn't be any trouble.
