I actually want to keep my AB grill slats incase I want to go back and don't like it. I'm not sure what I'll do with the grill at this point. I'm hearing some opinions that it might be too much pink but I'm in the process of photoshopping it so I'll post it in a couple hours. Calipers and grill = too much?

I think the grill WOULD be too much, personally... But I think the calipers would be really fun. Just enough pink without going overboard.

How about flat black wheels with pink center and/or pink lug bolts?

 

I was thinking that too... but how much would could I expect to get for my 17" S-Lites and runflats if I sold them? I just got them at the end of May and I'm about to swap for some winter tires for the next few months so I won't have a lot of wear on them...

 

Here are my thoughs:

-painting the black grill slats to be pink (No)
-new wheels, of course! (Better a good silver or black wheels with some pink)
-painting the brake calipers pink in the spring time when it's time to take the winter tires off (Yes)
-something with the interior... haven't decided yet (two tone seats, pink ebrake, pink stickshift, steering wheel, pink dome lights, pink footwell lights, pink door lights, pink boot lights, black floormats with pink borderline, CF interior)
-and some more chrome bits around the exterior such as the boot handle (have to admit black MINIs looks better dechromed)
-window tint!! (a must)


May I add pink xenons? at least in purple (doesn't exist in pink I think)
pink foglights
pink turnlights
white taillights and pink bulbs.

I'm liking the looks....good job. Before I would paint the grill, perhaps some pink tape first. That way if it looks bad, just pull off the tape.

PS - don't over pink (grill) or you will lose the punch the stripes are producing. I like the idea of pink calipers.

 

OK, so the main opinion has been no to the grill and yes yes yes to the calipers.

About the shift ****, just got me thinking... pool ***** don't come in pink do they? Or can you get custom coloured ones? I mean I'd LOVE a whalen, but I want some pink on it... and more of the pink of my stripes.

Ohh! The creative side in me is certainly at work tonight!! How about I get a whalen, chrome polished, and have my design (not sure yet) engraved on it and then I can fill in parts of the engraving with pink nail polish of the same colour? I am good at intricated details with nail polish!! = me excited!! I love coming up with ideas for Stella!

 

I just found this thread, the pink really pops with the back and it looks awsome. As far as the grill slats I think all pink is a bit much and reduces the pop that you had in the first photos but I think if you take a look at Tuls's MINI ("Fireballed Tuls" now) he and several otheres extended the bonnet stripes onto the grill then also on the air dam with great sucess.

Pink nail polish in the engraved grooves is another good option!
