www.newminiparts.com isn't a real site. He's probably referring to www.newministuff.com.

If it's Mikey the mini/newministuff.com. I've only dealt with them once (for JCW steering wheel) but all communication was very timely.

FWIW, I'm in the same boat you are.

I purchased from him previously and that went smoothly, but the lack of recent communitcation has me looking for other sources.

I've had very inconsistent response from Mikey (of newministuff.com). Ordering off the website is no problem, but when I've had a question or special request, he can be hard to reach. It seems as though he either responds immediately (sometimes within hours), or if he hasn't responded in a couple of days I usually never get a response at all and have to follow up. It's as though he misses or doesn't go back to messages more than day or two old. If you have a question or request, you may get lucky or you may have to be persistent and keep trying. I've sometimes resorted to multiple paths -- PM on MINI2, e-mail, and posting on MINI2 threads he's likely to look at. That said, he's been very helpful and responsive to me for special ordering several Euro-only OEM parts.

Lately, he's been even more busy than usual. If you follow MINI2, you may know that he's a new dad... in both senses, new child and new MINI!

The website was reporting email problems since at least September 23, but it looks like those problems are resolved now (the website now reports that under "latest news"). I just placed a large order there 2 days ago, and after seeing the warning of email problems, I decided to email AND PM him on MINI2 when I wanted to ask him some questions.

His handle on MINI2 is "mikeythemini", in case anyone wants to reach him that way. He has since replied to both my email and PM.

thanks for the handle on mini2, im gonna pm him there

and yes, something along the lines of wheelskin, but seeing the pictures discouraged me from ordering those as i see that they merely wrap the rim and not the two spokes on the side, i am looking for a wheel cover that will cover the entire vinyl section of the wheel... i am likely gonna do full black and if mikey can, add preforlation, or if im feeling up for a change in the steering look, black and grey, with a nice red strip on the top marking straight ahead

They are kinda slow with email... I called and found them quite helpful. The phone was answered right away and I got an answer to my question. International call to the UK isn't that expensive...
