Cheapest place to buy JCW Alcantra steering wheel and new GP wing?

I fell in love with the thicker JCW steering on Sunday and I want it, but who has the best deal? Also I would love buy the new GP rear wing, I wonder if there is a replica out there. I think the wing would balance out my new Palo Uber front scoop. The scoop reminds me of a Subaru STI hood scoop.
Thank you
Mario

Wheel from NewMINIStuff.com

I haven't heard of any GP wing replicas out yet.

FTR wing

Mario-do a search on here for the Fireball Tim Racing cars and look at those wings-I have some coming soon, if you are interested. Tim told me on sunday we are about 3-6 weeks away from having them in our hands. They mount in the stock holes, weigh in at 3 lbs!!

If you're looking for an actual GP wing... Forget it. Won't happen.

You cannot simply buy the wing and bolt it on to a random MINI. If you wanted to try and put a GP wing on a non GP you would need not just a wing, but a GP specific rear hatch and rear window. In addition you would need the blanking plate for the third brake light (which in its current location on non-GPs would be blocked by the wing) and to rewire the third light to a new location on the GP hatch you would be buying.

Somebody will probably come out with wings similar to the GP (and from above it looks like the Fireballed Team is working hard on it) but you're not going to be able to just wander in to your local parts place, buy a GP wing and bolt it to the back of your MCS...

I've been wanting the JCW steering wheel as well. Best price I've seen so far is at Morristown MINI.

I think it was less than $500.

The price on the site is £208.51, shipping is £15 and U.S. customers don't pay VAT, so that takes you to £223.51 = $422 based on current exchange rates.

Correct me if I'm wrong, as most of you will, but don't the US/Canadian dealers sell the wheel complete with airbag? A JCW wheel at my dealer would be about $500 incl. taxes and install.

Bugger! I was hoping to upgrade the wheel and fix my steering wheel emblem at the same time.

I came across quite a good MINI2 group buy in the UK, but you'll have to check whether they will export and the total price with shipping to the US:
http://www.mini2.com/forum/group-buy...ing-wheel.html

The price is
£200.00 (GBP) including VAT. Export should not include VAT (17% sales tax), so price would be around £171. At current conversion rates, that comes out to about $320 USD, plus shipping.

I'll have to search, but I thought the GP wing conversion was "over $1000" too. If I were in the market, a difference of $500 would be worth going GP.

Fireball's wing is very remenicent of Japanese tuner "GT"---v $625

The Fireball wing looks a little outre. Anyone know of one that's similar in style, but a liitle smaller? Something about halfway between that and the understated JCW wing maybe?

If you google "Carbon GT Wing," I'm sure you'll find one in a smaller size. I'm not sure on Fireball's wing size, but I think the real seller here is it bolts directly to the existing location.
