I love the M7 grill. I definitely would paint behind it. The pw/pw combo looks awesome!
I've only spent about $850 on mods so far (in 2 weeks). Hard to tell i know...half of them are in the mail. Hopefully they get here soon so i can get that black plastic trim painted. Another $560 WEEeeeEEEee!! then its off to a vinyl shop for custom stripes. Not sure what that will run me. Then i gotta lower the car and get new wheels. Lucky for me i have my B-day and X-mas comming up soon.

Before you need the front tow-eye and get stuck on the side of the road, see this thread: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ad.php?t=79590

My Opinion: Paint 'em flat black! The BBQ spray paint solution mentioned above sounds like how I'd go about it. I only mounted the lower grill option so I don't have this problem. I like my PW slat grills in the top two holes, but I think you need to paint the PW sections under the grill. Leave the metal of the radiator and other parts to shine through. The GrillCraft / M7 Ultimate Lower grill ROCKS! I love the look and it's a great replacement for the factory plastic bits.

This is a pic of maxmini's car (Randy from M7) from a while back.

holycrap! it didnt even dawn on me that im covering up my tow hook hole. Thanks for watching out for me Aaron! I will see if i can add the hole when i do the painting (as i will have the front bumper off)

Edit: can someone please sing that song that goes something like..."one thing leads to another....!"

The grommet shown doesn't give you a whole lot of clearance and there are LOTS of different positions that you can use to install the lower grill. Unfortunately, to get an exact install, you will have to mount your lower grill, re-install the bumper on the car and THEN cut the hole for the tow-eye... Luckily, you can fit the grommet from the outside, so you don't have to take the front bumper off again.

Well the m7 grill is already on, so i can mark it with tape. Then when i take it off to paint the middle grill i can cut the hole for the grommet and install it. then i'll have the tow hook hole and the area behind the middle grill painted black.

Oh, i installed my lower m7 grill by putting the tabs all the way back, so that the edge of the tab was touching the edge of the bumper lip. Then i drilled the holes and mounted it.

wow....i would really hate for someone to take that out of context.

i got a quote for 100$ for the top and middle grille without installation but he said the lower grille wotn fit because i do not have the bumper from the aero kit

A 3 of Mini Mizer's grills are the M7 Ultimate grills (www.m7tuning.com, I think). You can sometimes find them sold as "GrillCraft Grills".

These 3 grills fit the stock MCS (and probably the MC, but I'm not sure). I think that M7 is working on a grill for the aero kit front bumper, but I'm not sure if it is for sale yet.

IMHO, I'd leave anything that is raw metal stay raw metal. I kinda like the functional look of the brushed metal tow eye block. I'd paint any of the PW parts behind the grill flat black.
