Actually, it does have a use. It was designed with function in mind, but to each their own. Individuality is one of the things that makes these cars so great.

A definite nay. Not practical and don't like the way it looks on hatchbacks. (except for the people who posted on this forum of course)

Any Mini dealer can get one for you. I got mine mine from Morristown Mini (their ebay site). They had the best price around and great service.

But isn't a wing truly meant for real wheel drive cars to keep the tires on the pavement at very high speeds? That's why I think wings looks silly on ANY front wheel drive cars...

Its pretty simple aerodynamics....you can add downforce in the back to help with stability and add even more to the front to maintain more downforce up front

You can use wings on FWD cars to add a bit more downforce in the back and use diffusers to the front to add more downforce up front.

Look at any of the MINI challenge cars and you will see that they are running wings

i'm going to get my all whited out. i hate that CF look and plus every little ricer has that on their car and i don't want to be put in that category. I don't know if i'll paint it or if i'll have it covered in just vinyl like my sunroof is. vinyl will be cheaper, any guesstimate on painting the whole thing?

i forgot who said they have basically all the JCW parts, i'm going that way too. they are just nice. i want the steering wheel but $400 bucks is a bit much for that. granted, i use that everyday as opposed to the wing. oh well, looks over function i guess.

I'd rather get the AERO or GP-wing.

The JCW is glued on (much like the stock spoiler) but the Motorsport wing requires drilling.
Now that's the wing I've wanted, but by the time I knew that, it was to late, or so I was told to get one.

Wow, now I haven't considered a GP wing. Anyone selling this item in the aftermarket yet?

The wheels are Neez Euro Cross (got em on my MINI). As for the JCW wing..I am considering it as I think it compliments a modded, slammed MINI. BTW...the pics are us MINIACS on our Taebaek race track trip.

I am debating between the JCW carbon spoiler and the JCM's aluminum one which has a stronger motorsport image.

Secondly, do you have information on the set of wheels in the above picture? Are those Neez? The anthracite tone matches the carbon wing perfectly.

Rally meant the GP-wing is serious cash since from what I understand you basically need a new hatch as well, I've heard the number $3000 for it.

I'm in the market for a tasteful wing (oxymoron, perhaps)... I took a close look at a GP they had at Sterling. I can't say for sure you would need an entirely new hatch; but you will definitely need new rear glass.
