Doode, it looks sharp. It is one of the things that makes it stand out in the crowd. There was a guy at a local show that must have taken 50 shots of the wing on my car.

I love mine!

I think people see carbon fiber and see it like a ricer midget bleecher, when it isnt that at all.

This is what I chose, it does make "a statement", not for those shy about being different. I was pleasantly suprised how much better this looks in person and not at all "ricey". It cost about the same as the JCW (even including shipping and import) but is still unique and functional with five adjustments. The JCW is glued on (much like the stock spoiler) but the Motorsport wing requires drilling.

...because it actually generates downforce.

a lot of positives eh?

I believe the normal JCW wings also generates downforce, if you can say Challenge wings do generate downforce without looking at an actual data, why can't you say the same to the JCW spoiler?

I am Pretty much getting it soon..

Any required tools? I really don't want to spend $80 or something for epoxy and primer..

the CF JCW peice you will notice some downforce if you come off a high speed turn around 80+, but please let me say it is very slight!

I never thought I'd want the JCW wing, but after seeing it in person at MTTS, I'm thinking twice. It's not as loud and "ricey" as I expected it to be. The catch is, for me I would have to get it custom painted in Hyper Blue (since I have a body color roof). It is only officially available in black, white or silver. Also, when I got it painted, I would get the WHOLE THING painted, including the carbon fiber. I hate the CF look, because it has become passe. Everybody and their mother seems to either have it or "fake" CF... and so the "appearance" of CF just doesn't impress me any more. I appreciate the weight savings and strength of the real stuff, but I would rather paint it over.

I really like the M7 wing

Had a post up a while ago and they are changing the mounting dimensions, so that it uses the stock holes.
I WANT ONE !
Year end is the last I was told

Being a JCW spoiler owner (on a cooper no less) I say go for it. It's a dealer accessory, one made specifically for the car. It's not like you went down to pep-boys and bought the biggest one size fits all spoiler and just started drilling holes to put it on without painting it first (READ: my definition of rice).

I think the JCW, glued, spoiler is a good alternative spoiler. The Challenge spoiler may be built for performance only. But to have something like the Challenge spoiler on a street car screems wanna be racer. It's to much for a street car. Maybe the JCW spoiler doesn't create as much downforce but even if it did. I bet in competition use it too would be required to be bolted instead of glued for safety reasons.

I'm not defending the JCW spoiler as it does not have to be. But to have the Challenge spoiler instead of the JCW spoiler on a street car. You may as well run around town in a 4 point Auto Zone harness and 5" chrome exhaust you picked up on ebay.

It's not like we are putting a fake hood scoop on our cars. Oh wait. We'll touch back on that in 07.

i probably will. i'm selling stuff on ebay right now so i can get it. i just wanted to see some pictures of it around the car before i purchased, just to make sure. i tend to over research things.

i found this link on my travels and so thanks to James for posted his many more pictures on his website with his wing installed. here's his website to give some props. http://mini.jamesandana.com/images/080606/index.html

minimarks, do what i'm doing, putting anything and everything on ebay to sell!

Without a doubt, this is a piece of bling you MUST have! However, I guess I must issue a disclaimer...I put every possible piece of JCW on my MCSC. So I may not be the best person to give you a recommendation!

I'd prefer to purchase the real JCW MINI Challenge Club Sport rear wing when the opportunity arises. Unfortunately, it is currently out of stock. £264.95 inc.VAT.

Here is a great rear image of a MINI Challenge Club Sport in racing action.

I say yes, and have it custom painted if the available colors don't work for you
