Can anybody help me find dyi instructions with pictures to remove upper grille and replace with a chrome one and to remove the bumper to remove a lowered colored slat and replace with a chrome one? Going to try this tomorrow AM. TIA Michael

 

I went the opposite way: removed a chrome grille and replaced with a black grille. For the upper grille, I hope you bought the complete grille assembly and not just the slats. It costs only a little more and makes the installation much easier. If you got only the slats, I hear it is very tedious to undo all the tabs that attach the original slats.

Sorry, no pictures from my installation. The upper grille is removed by undoing 11 nuts. The lower slat is stuck on with double stick tape (soften adhesive with hair dryer and cut with dental floss). On the scale of mod installation difficulty, I rate it as easy. I changed the grille on my new MINI an hour after arriving home from the dealer, and I had never worked on a MINI before.
