Just to make one point clear, because the Whalen is heavy, and has the quick release collar on it, it can also easily be transformed into a weapon. Not that you would use it for that...but if some was trying to hijack your car, undo the collar tension with a little slight of hand...and whack, right on temple. Your attacker wopuld never see it comming, not mention it would make it very hard for him to drive the car if the whack on the temple didn't stun him.
