Bonnet Stripes/Clear Bra

Just received my MCS JCW with Black Factory Stripes. I want to have clear bra applied, but the stripes have bad spots in them so the dealer is going to replace them. Unfortunately that will be in a few weeks. I want to get the clear bra asap. Need some advice! I read a thread that you should have the clear bra applied first and then the stripes. After thinking about that, I can see pros and cons on each side. Please give som real life feeling on either way-before stripes or after stripes. Also I would like advice on how the safest way to remove the stripes if I got with the clear bra first! Thanks

I would say have the people who are applying the clear bra remove the stripes first. Or remove them yourself - they are real easy to take off. I would recommend having the stripes over the bra.

To take the stripes off, leave your car in the sun (esp. now since heat is going to be easy to find) let the stripes heat up - then start peeling. When the vinyl is hot it is easy to get them off.

Ditto. The stripes get crusty much before the bra.
