Subtle Mod: "Supercharged" badge...

Someone might have found something better/cheaper,. but just in case anyone was looking, here's the fruit of my searches for a subtle "Supercharged" badge.

My requirements were that it be an actual BADGE and not a simple vinyl sticker, and that it be less than 5" long. I measured the space beneath the side turn signal vent and figured that was about as large as I wanted to go- larger would have been ugly.

I found several badges, from Pontiac to Ford and everything in-between, but most were either in tacky script or were too large. I found one similar to the one that one of our regular forum posters uses, but they were priced at like $28 apeice, which was, IMHO too much for a simple badge.

I found this one for a Pontiac, but I could not get dimensions, and it was a bit bold for my tastes, and it would require custom cutting to remove the "GTP":

Then I found this one:

http://www.autobadges.com/ouremblems/

("Supercharged" emblem is near the bottom)...

They're only $10 apeice w/ $5 shipping, are a chromed badge with block text, not script and, best of all, are only 3.7" long, small enough that wheh placed up under the side marker will blend in, only showing when people really look closely.

If anyone else has a good source for these, please link in. I'll post up pics when I install mine- I should have them next week or so.

My car came with some spiffy red S emblems on it. Those don't look bad, but they're not my cup O tea.

Yeah, my side-markers have the red "S" on them too, but I thought this would be a nice addition.

I got Nissan's badge from a Xterra. I got it from the dealer for under 10$ and it fits great (IMO)

Here's a picture.

Have an emblem made ...

http://youremblem.com/catalog/

The letters are 1" high which may be a little too large.

...and a follow up question: I'm assuming you have to order 2 (one for each side) and that they don't come in twos. They're $10 each x 2 plus shipping.

So for $25 you can get two high quality badges. Hmmmm... I think I'll go for that and line that mod up with my yet to be ordered boot stripes... to put on my yet to be delivered car.

Hey folks those red S's don't stand for supercharger.

Neat idea with the Turbo S's coming out soon. So I don't undertand Ken's post, unless he is refering to the MC I saw sporting a MCS boot badge I prefer the subtle under Cooper S badge on the boot.

That is nice, I agree...

Rick, if you can re-locate that Mustang ebay store and link us, we'd all really apreciate it. $12 for 2 is better than $22 or so.
