1.) 6f7, I don't really know what was going on with that Honda, but my guess is that he just had his vehicle's lights turned on to the first "click". You know, like he just had the parking lights turned on. Then when he activated his turn signal the same bulb blinked brighter. Lots of cars use dual-filament bulbs which are marker lights when turned on, AND blinkers or brake lights when activated. As to why this guy had them on, I sure don't know, maybe he just like the looks of having some light showing. Here in Minnesota it is against the law to drive with just the parking lights on, don't know why that is either. At any rate, that is not what these LED lights are about. They just replace the parking light bulbs, and in the Mini those are separate bulbs from the turn signals.

2.) chrisnl, I haven't seen these LEDs next to the stock (non-Xenon) low beams, but my impression is that they would make the stock low beams look pretty yellowish. The LEDs really are quite white white. If the stock non-Xenon H7 bulbs were replaced with something like the PIAA Xtreme Whites it would be a pretty close match.
