I saw a thread a long time ago and couldn't find it again, but I thuought I'd mention that at least two compay out there will make very nice wood roof racks.. this oen is developign oen right now..http://eycorack.com/products.htm and this company who makes very keen ones for vw will make you oen as well adn may haev paln to build one in the future.. http://www.aavslc.com/PIP%20Rack%20Division%20Index.htm they are very sweet and look beutiful.. deffintly a great way of improving trunk space without a trailer

 

Any update on the retro roof racks? I checked out both of the links but don't see any racks that will fit a mini. Thx!
