Question on the aux gauge kit?

I have the auxiliary gauge kit installed. The boost gauge seems to be more side-lit and not as true as the volt gauge. My SA said he thought this was normal but wasn't sure. Are both gauges backlit to match the tach?

I noticed the same thing on mine - the boost gauge is rather dim compared to the Volt - which is a real bummer since its much more fun to watch it jump! I can barely read it at night.
