Inexpensive driving light recommendations

I'd like to install a pair on my front bumper/grill. I just don't want to spend upwards of $100+. Can anyone recommend a pair that will work in the $50 price range?

Well if you don't care about good visibility then Wal-mart usually has a selection, I think you could get some low cost round truck driving lights.

I used some off-roading lights and a wiring harness from the same store, then used the factory mounting brackets. Total it cost me $120. Cheapest I've heard of to do 2 of them. I got the lights and harness from 4wheelparts.com.

Here is the link to the lights I bought. I also ended up putting 100W bulbs in them, do quite nice on twisty roads at night.

Hope this helps.

I do want them to do someting, it's just my budget will not allow me to drop $150+ on those PIAA lights or ones like those. Why are those so expensive?

If you really want "cheap" driving lights check out the optilux line from Hella. Consider the normal Hellas as Lexus and the Optilux line as Toyotas.

But if you mean dirt cheap, go here http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/P...011161/c-10114
You can't beat the no name kits from JC Whitney ... $32 for complete kit, 100 watts no less!

Oh, nice find chows4us! Nice look and nice light. I won't be able to use them much but I sure love how they look on the MINIs. I'll get a pair ordered up. Thanks again!

Great. let us know how they work for you Be careful with the wiring since those 100w bulbs probably need thicker wires than normal 55w bulbs BTW, those are fogs

Inexpensive lights belong on inexpensive cars...I would hesitate to put a $20 Walmart lamp in a $200,000 house...it could diminish the value of your investment...

It's always about proportion...

Ok, I'll go with the Hella's. I know it's a good brand, they've been around for a very long time. Had several pair on my Toyota 4X many, many years ago.

Where do they sell $200K houses these days???

and whats wrong with Walmart? Dont you just love those greeters? I got one of those do it yourself pieces of furniture there with 2,000,000 parts to put together and directions in Japanese or Lithuanian or something to throw my computer junk (books) into and it hasn't quite fallen down yet

Many companies sell mounts. Go to hellausa.com, Mossmini.com, outmotoring.com, alta etc.

Oh wait, about 50 miles outside of Tuscon while driving their 10 years ago I did see new houses advertised for about $70K!

How are you guys attaching the lights to the Bonnet? Are you mounting brackets driectly to the bottom side of the grill? How are you guys attaching these, I don't want to drill holes in the bumper for them.

I thought about mounting them in this small slot, where the arrow is pointing to.

It seems very strong and there's plenty of access behind the bumper to get to the bolts and no drilling holes in the bumper or bonnet.
